I have set of 6 in rods it has 2in jernals can I use these rods in 2.3 and what u have to do other than have crank ground down what will make the motor br

If the rods were originally manufactured for a Chev V-8, and you measure the big-end width, you may find that width to be only about .940" wide/thick. I believe the 2.3L big-end width required is in the area of .990". Therefore, if the big-end width of the CompStar rods you have is ~.940", they aren't wide enough to provide the proper rod-journal side-clearance for the 2.3L engine. -84Dave-

Plus the fact...........by my math..... if your 2.3L block is a '74-'95 years block, with its 8.368" deck-height, there's no way you'll be able to reduce the piston compression-height/crank stroke enough to stuff the 6.0" rod into the engine. -84Dave-

Put the 5.930 rods and pistons in it and be done. Off the shelf pistons, metric rings, 2 ring design.
