Looking for Opinions On What Chassis & Year Would Be Best For Tracks that Go Super Dry Slick on D55 Tires. Have a 06 Blue Front Rocket Now, Really Good Car in the Wet; but out to lunch on a Dry Slick Track? Going to a Different Chassis in 2013, just Need some opinions on different Chassis; Mainly Rocket Black Front & Years; GRT & Years; Mastersbilt (also difference between a Gen X & Smackdown). Any Help Would Be Very Much Appreciated!

GRT's run really good on the D-55's 2003-2008 were some good cars on those tires.

Move RLB to Bottom hole; J Bar Below Pinion; 9 1/4 on Frame; LUB to Top Hole (No Indexing); LLB 2nd Hole Up from Bottom; RUB in Middle Hole 120-140 #'s of Bite. Current Springs are:
600 375
175 250

Ride Heights are: 3 1/4 & 3 1/4
About 7' & 6 3/8

Took "traction shock" off recently (front shock); put limiter chain on; 13 1/4" Droop. I Could "feel" the car better this way.....

In the Slick; before the Limiter chain; Car did not seem to want to "get up on the bars"; felt & looked flat.

Have had as low as a 325 in RF & high as a 400

Have had Rears 200 & 225 & 225 & 225

On a Tacky Track; the car is awesome! In the Super Slick.....seems like I really have to "wait" on it.

If you are looking for traction in the slick you could put a clamp bracket in front for your lrf shock. Run a dummy with high gas pressure or high compression 0 rebound oil shock on that bracket. Not only will it give you traction on exit if you can trail brake it will keep the car up on the bars on entry helping the car turn in but keep the traction for exit. It worked really well for us. ours was a 06 blue front rocket

Is it tight on entry? If so soften lf spring 600 seems like alot im on 500lf and 450 rf
Tight entry more often than not will kill your drive off

There's one style of clamp bracket, they are all basically the same.
Instead of the shock being attached to the birdcage (that lets the axle tube rotate in it, independent of the shock movement), the clamp bracket is a solid mount that rotates with the axle.

When the axle rotates clockwise (looking at it from the LR), it will "push" the bottom of the shock up, giving you a bit more drive on that corner of the car.

Exactly as described. There is a certain way to set it up so you get the same drop as you would on your birdcage. So you can switch from one to the other without changing anything else. We used one from TWM. part number is 320-157.
