Drilled or Scalloped?

What is the advantage over one or the other?

I prefer drilled..........lets the gas escape so the rotor doesn't glaze over reducing stopping power.

Also weight...Solid rotor 8.8 lbs, drilled 7.8 lbs and scallop 5.8 lbs...Big difference..I've seen drilled scallop rotors, no idea how long they last though...
