i have alwyas just ran the cheap pads from any parts store, im looking into the HAWK pads and im trying to decide on what pad to get. the black, 05, or 30. 3000lb super stock car running metric spindles. also what master cylinder size should i run, i believe im running 7/8 rear/ 1" front. does that sound right?

Generally people use the black pads. Not sure about your master cylinder question.

See if somebody else chimes in, we have to use a stock one. Can you run a brake bias adjuster?

1", 7/8", 3/4" is fairly standard for front, rear and clutch masters. I ran the Hawk Black pads on the rear brakes. They do chew up the rotors quickly and I would change them mid season. I actually ran stock semi metalic pads up front and cut the pad area down to a 2" square in the center to get the bias feel I was looking for.

I used to run an asphalt modified and had the best results using Wilwood PolyMatrix B pads. To me they had the same stopping power as the Hawk's, but the rotors lasted twice as long.

The Wilwoods would work great until the pad material was used up, where the Hawk's seemed to get a little less effective after about five or ten heat cycles.
