CARTERSVILLE, GA – The Top 10 drivers in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series will be honored at the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Annual Awards Banquet on January 12, 2013 at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame and Thunder Road Museum in Dawsonville, GA. The highlighted driver today is the 4th-Place driver Duke Palasini of Leland, MS.
Palasini accumulated 792 points in 20 races with a Weekly Point Average of 49.43 out of a possible 50, and drove the #V8 Palasini Farms Special to nine wins. During the 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season, Palasini was the only Top 10 driver to start all of his 20 races and post all nine of his season wins at one track – Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS.
For the second straight season, Palasini was the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model Champion at Greenville Speedway.
This season marks Palasini’s second straight appearance in the Top 4 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point standings. Last season, Palasini was the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region Championship Runner-Up, missing the Championship by just one point.
