RACINE, OHIO (Jan. 15, 2013) -
The American Motor Racing Association (AMRA) released its 2013 Modified rules' package Monday evening in anticipation of a banner racing season for the organization's upcoming 20th season of operation.
In most cases changes or revisions to the previous rules' package were minimal, and many revisions were clerical or clarifications according to the AMRA administration. Late Model rules have not yet been posted, however, rules for the most part remain the same and align with the major sanctioning bodies nationwide.
The final copy of the Modified rules are now on the website.
AMRA members are asked to get their 2013 license early at the ten-dollar discounted price of $65. Both rules and membership forms can be found at the AMRA website at www.amramodified.com for both late model and modified drivers. Memberships can be sent along with payment to AMRA, Scott Wolfe, P.O. Box 872 , Racine, Ohio 45771.
Wolfe noted, "If a driver knows he is going to be racing at an AMRA track, I urge them to avoid that first night rush and save ten bucks. Everyone knows that first night is hectic for track staff, for AMRA staff, and for drivers and crews. Getting your AMRA license in place now and getting your track registrations filled out ahead of time will certainly relieve a lot of tension on opening night."
Members can also renew or buy their initial memberships from now until February 15, 2013 at a $10 discount for $65. Beginning February 16, memberships will be the full $75 both for Modified and Late Model drivers. Membership forms are available on the AMRA web site and can be mailed to the AMRA Directors Office, ATTN Scott Wolfe, at Box 872, Racine, Ohio 45771.
