I turn 7800 with a 6.00. You probably want to be in the 5.80 range.

thanks Travis, I've got a 6:00 ,hoping to get by without buying another gear, 7200-7500 's in my confort zone. I might give it a try at one of thier practices.

I run 542 to 555 turn 7400 421 ci quick change.

thats rpm's I'm looking for. Did you feel like you were hooked up pretty good?

I run a 5.67 gear in a 9" and turn usually around 7800 or maybe a little more. Try your 6.00 and see what happens. My guess you will be a little higher RPM's than what you are looking. But your in the ball park.
