I was wondering if anyone of you have ever ran a stall converter in a dirt track car and if so what stall range ? Thanks, Ricky

Are you are referring to stall speed, as in a high stall? A high stall is not normally used because in order to get the higher stall speed you would get a lot of overall slippage. Most are in the 2000's range for dirt track just to keep the slippage down. The lower the stall speed the better, you are more 1:1 kinda like having a straight stick or a bert transmission.

Ran a 4500 9inch. Killer on starts and tight traffic. Too much work using the brakes to slow down. Wouldn't do it again.

Yeah I was thinking about a 1400-1800 stall. I run a Bert in my Southern Stock, but I have another car that I just race about 5-6 times a year and it's a low horsepower car with Naccar pull offs. I've talked to a few people that said run a low stall in this car ?

I would guess a 2400-3000 would be good. 1400 will stall right after idle , too soon.
