Pre-Entry Deadline for $2000 to win NCRA Sport Mod Show This Friday!



FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas - March 10, 2013 - All sport modified drivers don’t forget that you must have your $75 pre-entry fee turned in and post marked by Friday, March 15th, for the inaugural running of the $2000 to win “Sport Mod Spring Scramble” that will kick off the 2013 race season for the Bob Howard PDC and Mopar National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sport modified division at 81 Speedway in Park City. This special two day event will take place on Friday and Saturday night, April 5-6th.

And yes you northern sport mod drivers are also welcome to compete. Information pertaining for you is listed below.

Yes, you can still enter after the March 15th deadline and even during race day. However, entry fee after the deadline will be $125. Official entry form can be found at www.racencra.com or call the speedway office (316) 755-1781 and give them your information.

Remember, $2000 to win is on the line for Saturday night’s championship feature winner with all twenty-four drivers making the finale earning $400. And this huge two day event is not based on car count. In fact, what is posted on the flyer is what will be paid out. That includes the following for Saturday night’s finale:

A Feature: 1) $2000, 2) $1500, 3) $1000, 4) $700, 5) $600, 6-10) $500, 7-24) $400

B Feature: 1-5) Transfer, 6) $300, 7) $275, 8) $250, 9) $225, 10) $200, 11) $175, 12) $150, 13-14) $125, 15-24) $100

Last Chance Feature: 1-4) Transfer, 5-20) $100

Pre entry fee is $75 but MUST BE POST MARKED BY March 15, 2013. Late entry and/or entry on race day is $125.

Itinerary for both nights:

· All cars/drivers must draw for two (2) different heat races

· Passing points will be added together to give you the starting position for Saturday night’s features

· The top fourteen (14) drivers will be locked into the “A” feature with the top ten doing a redraw on Saturday night for starting spots in the 50 lap Championship finale

Official NCRA southern sport mod or northern sport mod rules will be allowed and there is NO MIXING or rules. Gates will open on Friday night at 5:00 pm with racing set for a 7:30 pm start time. Championship Saturday night gates will also open at 5:00 pm with the start time moved to 7:00 pm.

Since 1971 the NCRA has sanctioned dirt track races across the Great Plains with the series currently sanctioning five other divisions. They include modifieds, southern sport modifieds, late models, 360 sprint cars, 305 sprint cars and new mod lites. The 2013 season for the National Championship Racing Association is the 43rd anniversary season with races scheduled at sixteen different race tracks across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri.
