LRF traction shock Clamp or birdcage?

When using the traction shock on the LRF should it always be on the birdcage or is there any time or reason to mount it with a clamp bracket?

When using the LR Clamp set-up with the spring vs. LR behind on birdcage what would be a typical spring rate change between the two?

Does anyone use the LR Clamp set-up anymore?

Not on any lates that i know of,peirce still makes mods and so does diamond that are clamp cars.
