I know there are so many different tire prep out there what is a good one to buy or how to make your own. thanks for any help... tires are hard after setting the winter

xylene and a paint roller and pan...roll on a coat,let it set for a day,roll on another coat...should be good to go

Taking a tire grinding disk on a grinder go over the tires twice with it works well if you can't use any "Additives"

Good recommendations above. The best commercial 'tire conditioner' I've found is 'Track Claw'. And I've tried 'em all. About $55/gallon out of the Speedway Motors catalog. Applied with a paint roller, a gallon of Track Claw lasts us one full 12-race season with the 10" wide Hoosier 'slicks' on our Pro-4.

there are other mixs you can make,depends if you want more bite in the tire or just soften...softer tire doesnt always mean more bite....
