Macon Speedway Announces 1st Annual Midwest UMP Champions Showdown Saturday April 6thMacon Speedway has announced the 1st Annual Midwest UMP Champions Showdown on Saturday April 6, 2013. With all the UMP race tracks and race drivers that the Midwest has to offer, why not put them all together for one huge champions showdown! Modifieds, Street Stocks and Hornets will compete to determine the best of the best!Champions Night at the famed 1/5 mile high banks will offer a Free Pit Pass for any 2012 Track Champion from a UMP track in the Midwest to take part in the Showdown. There will be a 15 lap Modified Shootout, an 10 lap street stock shootout and a 8 lap Hornet shootout for those champions in each division. Macon Speedway division tech rules will apply.Promoters for the participating tracks will be given a Free Pit Pass, full access to the Turn 4 lounge for the night as well as track pre-race introductions with their corresponding drivers. Promoters are encouraged to involve their 2012 Track Champions as the winning champion’s promoter in each division will be given a Showdown Trophy! Saturday April 6th is Opening Night at Macon Speedway, as well as the 6th Annual Spring Fling featuring the UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, UMP Street Stocks, UMP Outlaw Hornets, Stock Hornets and the POWRi Mini Sprints. All drivers who are eligible for the Champions Showdown will also be able to participate in the regular night’s events, heats and features.
