Where are you guy's installing your over heat light sender? Ford 2300cc with a mechanical gauge in the stock location on the block. No water running into intake so that is not an option.

Thanks

I would recomend that you put the idiot light temp switch in the side of the block, and put the probe for your guage in the waterneck. You always want to have your guage hooked up to the hottest location, and that's definitely where the water leaves the engine after being heated up!

Is there a premade water neck with a fitting already built into it, or do you just need to get a steel female fitting and weld it in?

There are water necks available that have a cast in boss that can be machined with the correct threads for your temp sender. I'm sure we could do it for you if you don't mind paying for the labor. Depending on the threads you need, we have both cast iron and aluminum waternecks that may work for you...
