Ponderosa Speedway Announces 2013 Sponsors/Marketing Partners and Division Theme Music
Junction City, KY-April 3, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz are pleased to announce and welcome the track’s sponsors and marketing partners for the 2013 racing season, along with the announcement of the track’s division theme music chosen by the race fans.
The five divisions of racing competition will each have a division sponsor again for the 2013 race season. Good Neighbor Pharmacy in Danville, KY will return as sponsor of the Super Late Model division. Smith Automotive Machine Shop in Frankfort, KY will debut as a division sponsor for the FASTRAK Late Models. Bluegrass Drug Store in Danville, KY will debut as a division sponsor for the Modifieds. D&D Pallet in Stanford, KY returns as a division sponsor after a brief hiatus and will sponsor the Sportsman class. Airport Road Salvage Yard in Junction City, KY debuts as a division sponsor for the Front Wheel Drives.
Each division will also have heat race sponsors as well. Country 100.9 MIKE FM in Lebanon, KY will return to sponsor the Super Late Model heat events. Colston Paving in Frankfort, KY will be the sponsor for the heat races for the FASTRAK Late Models. Inter County Energy in Danville, KY debuts as a heat race sponsor for the Modified division, while Northside RV in Lexington, KY debuts as sponsor for the Sportsman heats. Redi Mart Shell in Junction City, KY will be the sponsor of the Front Wheel Drive heats. All time trials will be sponsored by Bob Allen Motor Mall in Danville, KY.

Fans also got to participate in a contest to name the official division theme music for all five divisions of competition at Ponderosa Speedway that will play when that division’s feature event makes its way out to the racing surface each race night. The Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models will roll out to “Enter Sandman”, while the Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models will come out to “Thunderstruck”. The Bluegrass Drug Store Modified feature will see the open-wheelers come out to “Hells Bells”, while the D&D Pallet Sportsman division will roll out to “Smoke on the Water”, with the Airport Road Salvage Yard Front Wheel Drives arriving to “Slow Ride”. The track would like to thank all the fans that participated in the division theme music vote.
Ponderosa Speedway will kick off the 2013 racing season this Friday evening April 5 with a full program of racing competition featuring Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models, Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds, D&D Pallet Sportsman, and Airport Road Salvage Yard Front Wheel Drives.
Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY.
