WISSOTA decided to give us a new rev chip rule this year. We are required to run an 8200 RPM chip. This won't be a huge issue to me because I normally try to run 8000-8200 with my wissota motors anyway.

My question is, how do I make sure I can get ahold of chips that will allow me to actually get to 8200? I'm not looking to cheat. I'm just looking for any advice from people who have run with this rule before. I want to make sure I don't end up with a chip that is stamped 8200 but only allows me to hit 8000...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The best way to do that would be send your ignition box in and have it blue printed.

I haven't had that done, but I have had Pat do a couple ignition systems for me, they are great to deal with.

Crane boxes are within 30 RPM of the setting a MSD is usually 200 short.

We can get the box blueprntd to get rid of the hole and get you to a solid number. Usually most boxes are at least 150 rpm in the hole to start.
