American Modified Series Launches 2013 Tour at Smoky Mountain Speedway April 13
Glasgow, KY-April 7, 2013- The American Modified Series is set to begin its fourth season of competition as it begins the 2013 racing season this Saturday evening April 13 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN with an event that will pay $3,000 to the winner.
The season opening event for the American Modified Series will take place on Saturday April 13 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN. The American Modified Series will present a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the $3,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main event. Also on the racing card at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday April 13 will be Ray Cook’s Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals for Super Late Models ($6,000 to win), Street Stocks ($300 to win), and Mini Stocks ($200 to win)
Smoky Mountain Speedway April 13, 2013 A-Main Payout: 1st- $3,000, 2nd- $1,500, 3rd- $750, 4th- $600, 5th- $550, 6th- $500, 7th- $450, 8th- $400, 9th- $350, 10th- $325, 11th- $300, 12th- $275, 13th- $260, 14th- $240, 15th through 22nd- $225 to start
Activities for the American Modified Series event at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday April 13 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with general admission area and tier parking open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices for this April 13 event at Smoky Mountain Speedway in the general admission area are $20 for adults, $25 for tier parking, and a pit pass will be $35.
