FASTRAK Returns to Friendship Motor Speedway This Saturday after 3 Year Absence
**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** April 9th, 2013 FASTRAK PR – Wesley Outland
(Four Oaks, North Carolina) – The “Decade of Speed Tour” in 2013 for the FASTRAK Racing Series is in overdrive. Many of our FASTRAK Weekly sanctioned tracks have already got a few weekly events under their belts. The same can also be said about the FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Series. The next stop for the season is this Saturday night in the “Tarheel State”. We are excited to be reuniting with Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, North Carolina for the first time in 3 years. The FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division will return to the 4/10th mile clay oval this Saturday, April 13th with a cool $2,000 dollars up for grabs to the victor.

As stated above this is the first touring event for the FASTRAK Racing Series at Friendship Motor Speedway in nearly 3 years. The last time the “FASTRAK Universe” was a part of an even like this capacity was in October 2010. The event was the old format entitled the Grand Nationals. Over 40+ cars attended that spectacle racing weekend. In 2012 it’s now comprised into one racing weekend entitled the FASTRAK $250,000 World Championships which last year drew 186 entries in 2 days of RACING. Friendship Motor Speedway joined back with FASTRAK Companies International during mid-season 2012 but the schedule was already in place on the Touring level and a date couldn’t be occupied. This is the 1st of 2 scheduled visits for the “Nation’s First and Premier Pro Late Models Series in the Country”.
Since the 2013 season got started on February it’s been monumental. Recently #2b Frankie Beard clinched his first ever career touring series victory with FASTRAK winning last Saturday night at Gordon Park Speedway in the FASTRAK Spring Nationals. The weather is warming up and with that the racing is heating up as well to decide the Touring champions of 2013 and who’s going to be the contenders in this years $250,000 FASTRAK World Championship. The next deciding chapter will take place at Friendship Motor Speedway this Saturday night April 13th.
