FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring to Sanction “Crate” Portion of the Steel City Stampede this Sunday at Lernerville Speedway

**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** April 10th, 2013 FASTRAK PR – Wesley Outland & Jim Balentine

(Youngstown,Ohio) – This Sunday, April 14 at Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania will be the running of remaining events at the “Steel City Stampede”. The FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Late Model Touring Division will sanction the “crates” portion and compete for $2,000 to win. The race will be a “non-points” event that was rained out after the conclusion of heat races and the dash on October 26, 2012.

All qualified cars that return will retain their qualified position. In the event of some cars not returning, other qualified cars will be moved up to fill the voids. The remaining feature starting positions will be filled through two B mains. Drivers who were present in October at the original race will start in their respective B main positions.

However in the event the car owner of record chooses to replace the original driver with a different driver, the car will start scratch ahead of any new cars. In all cases, the original entered car owner will receive prize money.

Any new cars in attendance will be permitted to attempt to qualify by starting in the B mains behind those drivers previously entered. New cars in attendance will also draw for starting order in the rear of the B mains.

***Car weight and tire rule will be from the FASTRAK 2013 rule book. There will be NO race membership fee but any new cars MUST pay the $100 FASTRAK registration fee.

"The majority of our field have already run a race at the new weight limit and for the most part teams have already cut up their FT400 tires it makes no sense to go back to the old rule for this one race” stated FASTRAK President Stan Lester
