Looking to buy a tranny. What one would you guys recommend. Racing in the imca sportmod class and it say oem looking tranny. Don't like the auto trannys. Looking for any input about these two trannys and where to get them at.

We ran a Alum Case Muncie for years. Just remove 1st and second, use 3rd as low and 4th as high. You see one come up on ebay from time to time, but anyone can remove 1st and 2nd from a good trans for ya.

Bert's and Brinn's look like an oem tranny... does the rules say you can't run one of those?
Do you have to run a flywheel type clutch?

if at all possible, I would get a used bert or brinn.... a ton safer and cheaper in the long run...

If you are racing IMCA sport mod, ALL forward gears MUST work, so if you have a 3 speed you MUST have all 3 forward gears. ..... Sean Walker, IMCA tech, Independence Motor Speedway.
