Summit Racing Equipment to be Title Sponsor for American Modified Series

Glasgow, KY-April 24, 2013- Officials with the American Modified Series are excited to announce a partnership with Summit Racing Equipment of Akron, OH that will make Summit Racing Equipment the title sponsor for the American Modified Series for the upcoming 2013 racing season.

Summit Racing Equipment has been involved in the motorsports industry for 45 years and has been the standard-bearer fast shipping, customer service, and technical expertise by providing their customers with the best parts at a fair price, delivery of the parts in a timely manner, and backing their products with the best customer service possible. Since its inception in 1968, Summit Racing Products has been involved in various forms of motorsports participation at a regional and national level through its support of various motorsports sanctioning groups. Since 2011, Summit Racing Equipment has been involved with the UMP DirtCar organization and has sponsored the “Summit Racing Modified Nationals” for the UMP DirtCar Modified division that coincides with the UMP DirtCar organizations UMP Super Late Model “Summernationals Tour”.

The American Modified Series is set to begin its fourth season of presenting Open Wheel Modified racing competition at various dirt racing venues around the Midwest and with its series following the rules and guidelines set forth by the UMP DirtCar Modified division, a relationship between the great folks at Summit Racing Equipment and the American Modified Series is a perfect fit, as Summit Racing Equipment continues its great tradition of supporting motorsports at all levels.

Along with serving as title sponsor for the series, Summit Racing Equipment will also serve as sponsor for Summit Racing Equipment Heat Race One at each series event, providing gift cards for the top finishers in each of those heats, along with providing funding to bolster the tour’s series points fund.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is set to kick off its 2013 racing season on Saturday April 13 with the tour’s first-ever visit to Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN for an event that will pay $3,000 to win.

The American Modified Series will present UMP DirtCar Modified sanctioned dirt track sports entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, and Tennessee.
