Lake Cumberland Speedway Cancels Racing Program for Saturday April 27

Burnside, KY-April 27, 2013- For the second straight weekend, Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove has seen Mother Nature foil his plans for racing action at the 3/8 mile clay oval track known as “The House of Hardcore Mayhem” and has cancelled the race program for Saturday April 27.

Rain showers moved through the area around 5:00 a.m. this morning and with the forecast for more intense rains later on during the day on Saturday afternoon, Hardgrove has decided to cancel the racing program set for Saturday April 27. An announcement about plans for the next scheduled racing program set for Saturday May 4 will be released at some point on Sunday.

Lake Cumberland Speedway last raced on April 13 and feature event winners that evening included Victor Lee of Danville, KY in Super Late Models, Tommy Gregory of Monticello, KY in Modifieds, and Jeremy Howard of Berea, KY in Super Dirt Stocks/Road Hogs.

Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
