What do you guy use to get them off and if they leave glue residue, what brings that off without hurting the paint.I was gonna try a heat gun tonight, but I forgot it. We used lacquer thinner on the go kart bodies, but I'm afraid of getting bare metal. What do the experts say?

STEP 1. Remove decal with heat lamp or heat gun.

STEP 2. Spray glue residue with Rapid Remover and let penetrate for 30-60 seconds.

STEP 3. Using a squeegee, scrape to remove glue residue.

STEP 4. Spray Rapid Remover on a paper towel and wipe surface clean.

STEP 5. Rinse surface with Rapid Tac Application fluid or water. Rapid Remover is water-soluble. www.hhsignsupply.com

Heat gun with just enough heat to get it to loosen and pull and then pressure wash the glue residue.

Heat gun to remove decal and 3M makes an orange industrial cleaner that removes the adhesive very well. Spray it on, let it set till it gets mushy and squeegee it off. Clean up with a solvent designed for prepping for painting. PPG 330 or 440 type stuff. Timing it right before squeegee is the key. That makes you the hero or zero.
