I just bought an early 2000's GRT and I'll be running a sportsman/crate class. There are 3 different motor options, 602 or 604, or a very limited built OEM block motor. I'm running the built (non-crate) motor. There is a $300 buy rule on headers, so I don't want to buy some high dollar stuff and get claimed. Who makes a good header for this car? SBC with 23 degree heads. Been looking at the Schoenfelds in the $300 range. Any advice?

We have ran Schoenfelds on our SUPR spec motors for years.

Schoenfeld new header style is $319. Part number for the GRT is 181-606LVG-3. Fits perfectly on my GRT.

What heads are you running? If they are factory Vortec heads some headers do not match the ports and you will have the header flange covering the exhaust port and it will kill the engines power. If you are running a vortec head make sure that the headers and gaskets will fit the heads properly.

All I know for sure is they are Pro heads, not sure which style. I'll get his input anyway before I buy something, just trying to do some recon work and cover as many bases as I can. Thanks for the heads up on the ports.....stuff like that is why I'm asking so many questions :)

If you call Schoenfeld you can tell them the type of head and they can tell you if they fit and also what size header you would need (tube size).
