We are looking at running a diffrent track for a few races. They don't allow 4 links to run. We were told we could take the top bars off and lock the birdcages to make a 3 link. Anybody heard of this and how do you lock TWM birdcages?

Can you just turn the upper bar backwards to make a z link?

No brackets to the rear for the upper bars.

Some have provisions to pin them I think. I'm not sure how would would pin a bearing birdcage...Try calling TWM or your chassis manufacturer, they can give you a good quick answer! Sounds interesting just remember you have to run more angle in your lower links if its essentially a 3 link

I would fab up some bolt on mounts before I tried to pin my birdcages. Especially if you have aluminum tubes.

Why in the world would they be running late models without them being a 4link?
Is it some kind of limited late model?
That is going to take more time to figure out setup, than it would be worth to run at that track for a couple times.

You can also use spear rods.
