Going from 12-2 right front shock to a 9-3 shock will cause what?

Thanks

Faster loading, slower unloading, if these are compression/rebound numbers, opposite if rebound/compression. Handling wise varies but I'd say generally tighter entry/looser back on gas initially if comp/rebound #'s.

I would seem to think these are reb/compression #'s although?

2comp 12 reb
3comp 9 reb

Me thinks your car will be better, period!
Sounds like you have Bilsteins?
I'm NOT familiar with them and how their #'s compare to measured dampening rates, .....but 2 comp seems pretty low and too much RF rebound cxontrol ( unless you have a radically different deal than the norm) will kill forward drive. Is this on a 4 bar car, late model?
2/12 ..A radical deal for an extreme momentum or slick track?

Four bar car late model. Thats my problem. Wanted to make sure that was probably killing drive. Only issue im having. Everything checks out great. Im going to the the 3/9. Having to use the bilsteins for the 525 class nesmith is planning to run at end of the year. Only limited choice of shocks that can be used.

Thanks

Although not ideal for optimum unsprung weight..... if your rules allow or don't specify ...you could flip shocks top to bottom for opposite valving!

Jed, please tell us you were joking. That's shock 101 man.

The day flipping a shock upside down changes how it reacts is the day flipping a fan around will blow hot air the other direction, emphasis on HOT air.

I think Jed had a brain fart. Flipping the shock does nothing.

Just testing the waters. :)

I just ordered a 3 to a 6 compression with a fixed 12 rebound afco single adjustment shock for the right front would this be ok for an older mastersbilt from tackey to a slick track later on in the night

Is this a silver series, M2, or twin tube? It depends on how the slow speed responds. It may be a bit too much rebound for a basic setup or it may be fine.
