The ADRA DIRT MASTERS AT MRP MAY 17TH AND HILLTOP MAY 18TH!
Apple Grove, WV. May 13, 2013~ The ADRA Dirt Masters presented by Suddenlink (www.suddenlink.com) will be in action this weekend as we roar into Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday May 17th for the 6th Annual “Freedom Fighters 40” sponsored by Lifetime Homes of Mt. Orab, OH. (lifetimehomesllc.com) Then we will amp it up for 30 more laps at Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH Saturday May 18th in the “Jerry Reed Memorial Race” in honor of Hilltop Speedway’s long-time track chaplain, the late Pastor Jerry Reed.
Reigning ADRA Champion, “Hot Rod” Rod Conley from Wheelersburg, OH leads the ADRA standings going into this week’s ADRA Dirt Master Challenges numbers 2 and 3 of the 2013 season. ADRA members will be scored on their best 10 finishes of 2013 with the champion receiving the ADRA Dirt Master Cup for 2013. The point fund payback will cover the top 10 in final points regionally provided they meet minimum eligibility requirements. (www.adraracing.net)
The remainder of the top 5 in ADRA points after challenge 1 at Jackson County Speedway on April 20th is as follows; Jason Montgomery of Jackson, OH, John Whitney Jr. of Clarksville, OH , Wayne Hughes of Ghent, WV, and Brain Casey of Coshocton, OH. The 2012 2nd Runner-Up in ADRA points, Russ Frohnapfel, comes into this week 7th in points after running the JCS race in a borrowed car due to losing both his engines in the weeks preceding. Frohnapfel would receive the Dominator Performance Products Hard Charger of the Race Award after a mechanical glitch in his heat race would put him at the tail of the field for the feature where he would eventually advance to a very respectable 6th place finish.
Be sure to check the Racers In Christ Ministry schedule at www.racersinchrist.com. RIC is the “Official Ministry of the ADRA”. Look for their booth wherever the ADRA goes for spiritual inspiration and the free gift of the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. RIC has distributed 100’s of bibles to kids and adults all over the region.
The ADRA presented by Suddenlink (www.suddenlink.com) would also like to welcome Sunoco/Bazell Race Fuels back as the “Official Fuel of the ADRA!” (www.bazellfuels.com ) This will be their 3rd season with us and we greatly appreciate their support.
Hoosier Tire Ohio Valley (www.poske.com) and American Race Tire (www.americanraceronline.com are both back for a 3rd season as well as “Official Tires of the ADRA”.
The ADRA would like to welcome the WV National Guard (www.wv.ngb.army.mil/) to the family as they will be providing our pace car as well as other services. Be sure to watch for the WV National Guard #88 dirt late model to make its debut later this season.
