TONY ROPER MEMORIAL SUNDAY MAY 26
Coming up this weekend on Sunday May 26 at Monett Speedway - the 13th Annual Tony Roper Memorial featuring the stars and cars of the MARS racing series. Modified super-star Ryan Gustin won the last MARS series event. Come on out to watch the likes of Terry Phillips, Brad Looney, Jesse Stovall, and Tony Jackson Jr take on Justin Wells, Ken Essary, and Darrell Mooneyham, plus many more. Classes racing on Sunday include MARS Late Models, Modified, B Modified, and Pure Stock.
The Tony Roper Memorial has run on Memorial day weekend for the last 13 years in memory of fallen area driver, Tony Roper. Due to this Sunday special event there will be no racing this Friday night. Friday night weekly racing will get back underway on May 31, 2013.
For this Sunday special, gates will open at 5:30, hot laps will be at 7:00, with racing getting underway at 7:30.
