MACON SPEEDWAY GEARS UP FOR A BIG WEEKEND WITH THE “RAMINATOR”
ON SATURDAY, MAY 25 AND THE MIDWEST BIG TEN UMP LATE MODEL SERIES RETURNING ON MONDAY, MAY 27

(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway and Bob Brady Auto Mall have lured the “Raminator” to Decatur and Macon for a day of autograph signing, photographs and at the end of the night, CAR CRUSHING! From 11 am to 2 pm, Bob Brady Auto Mall will be hosting the Raminator with an autograph session with the driver Mark Hall. The Macon Speedway two-seater late model car will also be on display at Bob Brady Auto Mall. The Raminator will then travel south to Macon Speedway for an action-packed night of autographs and car crushing…YES, CAR CRUSHING! Decatur Auto Parts has offered up a few cars for the Raminator to demolish that night. Make sure to bring your cameras! Kids and adults alike will be thrilled when the 565cubic-inch supercharged Hemi motor fires up, powering Raminator through an absolutely breath taking exhibition.
Also that night will be exciting racing featuring the Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP Sportsman, UMP 4-cylinder Outlaw Hornets, Stock Hornets and Micro Mini Sprints.
There will also be a Pinewood Derby race open to both Boy and Girl Scouts at 1pm on Saturday, May 25th sponsored by the Macon Speedway Crazy Kids Club. The Kids Club theme this Saturday will be Cubs vs. Cards. They are encouraged to wear their favorite team’s colors. The Macon Speedway Crazy Kids Club is sponsored by Kid’s Castle Learning Center, SavMor Pharmacy, and Highside Graphix.
Gates will open at 5pm with racing beginning at 7pm
On Monday, May 27 – Memorial Day, Macon will be hosting the Midwest Big Ten UMP Late Model Series, along with the ALMS series. Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace, NASCAR Stars and co-owners of Macon Speedway, will also be racing that evening. This will be the second showing for the Big Ten Series at Macon. Steve Sheppard Jr. of New Berlin is leading the series.
Also racing that night will be Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP 4-cyl. Outlaw Hornets & Stock Hornets.
