Ponderosa Speedway Issues Revised Modified Feature Finish and Updated Track Points for May 24

Junction City, KY-May 26, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz would like to issue an update on the finish of the Bluegrass Drug Store Modified feature event from Friday May 24 and also distribute the updated points for the division as well.

Modified driver J.T. Ayers had mechanical issues with his normal ride on Friday evening May 24 and fellow competitor Tim Potts loaned Ayers his car to drive in the feature event that evening. The changes were not made in the track’s computer system to make up for this change and the track apologizes to all parties involved for the mistake on its end. Ayers will be credited with tenth place in the Bluegrass Drug Store Modified feature from May 24, while Potts should have listed as a did not start. The following is the updated top ten in the division’s track points after May 24 as well:

The Friday May 31 racing event at Ponderosa Speedway will be the 3rd Annual Weekend Warrior 30, paying the D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman $800 to win in a 30 lap main event. Also in action at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday May 31 will be the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models in a $1,200 to win, 25 lap main event, along with the Smith Automotive FASTRAK Late Models racing for $600 to win contest. Also on the racing program for Friday May 31 will be the Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap feature contest and Airport Road Salvage Yard Four Cylinders racing for $200 to win (four car minimum) in a 10 lap feature event. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and may be rented at the track during driver registration and pill draw, which closes at 7:00 p.m.

Activities for the Friday May 31 event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m, while the general admission area opens at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., while practice laps will begin at 7:20 p.m. Bob Allen Motor Mall time trials will begin at 7:45 p.m., with racing set for the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times listed are EDT. Ticket prices for the May 31 Weekend Warrior event in the general admission area will be $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, with children ages 5 and under free. A pit pass will be $30.
