I noticed the "crown" on the RF lower ball joint was cracking down the side. You could see some shaping issues also where it looks like the stud was hitting it when going into the corner giving it an almost egg shape. I got a used one from a guy and it had the same kind of issues. Is this normal for them and still pretty safe to run? Hate to have to change the body every week.

Had similar problem to what you are referring to and went to afco brand lf joints and problem solved.

never been a problem for me, sometimes makes them a bit tough to remove but I have ground them down and reused them .

You'll be fine, I would recommend trying to fix the issue if possible as you shouldn't be putting them in a bind. I know this is difficult with the lower on the RF as none of the control arms I have seen put any tilt in the BJ mount like some do with the uppers, you would think some would be wise enough to figure it out but I guess not!

It's cracking on the inside closest to chassis. Only thing I can figure is when putting car on stands it is dropping enough that the stud is resting in the end.
