Spring Showdown Winner Victor Lee’s Tire Samples Cleared by Testing Lab
Junction City, KY-May 31, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz were notified on Friday afternoon that the tire sample from Spring Showdown winner Victor Lee has cleared all test and Lee’s victory in the event is now official.
A tire sample was taken from Lee’s winning entry on Friday evening May 24 after the event and was sent to Blue Ridge Laboratories and officials with that group notified the track on Friday afternoon May 31 that the tire sample tested good and Lee was paid at the track after the track had to cancel its racing events on May 31 due to inclement weather that passed through the area.
Ponderosa Speedway and Richmond Raceway also paid a bonus for the weekend to the driver accumulating the most points between the two tracks and tire samples from Michael Chilton’s entry also proved to be good and Chilton is the official weekend $500 bonus winner as well.
Ponderosa Speedway is off on Friday June 7 for the Dream 100, but is set to return to action on Friday June 14, with the rescheduled Weekend Warrior 30 that will pay $800 to win for the Sportsman division, along with a full racing program for Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models, Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds, and Airport Road Salvage Yard Four Cylinders.
Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are the track promoters and will present dirt track sports entertainment on Friday evenings from April through mid-October of the 2013 race season.
