$12 Admission at the UFo “Checker Flag Trophy” at Hesston on June 16
(Mars, PA) UFo Super Late Models will return to action at the high banks of Hesston Speedway on Sunday, June 16. The “Checker Flag Trophy” will pay $2,022 to the winner of the UFo Super Late Models. It will also be FanFair Night with adult grandstand admission for only $12.
The UFo Super Late Models will compete in a 33 lap championship paying $2,022 to win and $200 to start. Mark Pettyjohn and Jeremy Miller split UFo Super Late Model wins at “Mega-Blitz Mach3” at Hesston in May. The twin UFo Super Late Model features at that event included 8 lead changes among 5 different drivers.
Semi-Late Model Sportsman will race 25 laps for $800 to win for a double invasion of late model cars. A-Cadets will pay $450 to win and $60 to start with Hobby-Modifieds racing for $275 to win and $40 to start. Roadrunners will compete for $150 to win and $30 to start. Full payoffs are available at http://www.hesstonspeedway.com on the payoffs page.
UFo Super Late Models, Semi-Late Model Sportsman, A-Cadets and Hobby-Modifieds will compete in heat races and features, while the Roadrunners will race in a feature-only program. Hesston Speedway will implement a new racing program at the UFo “Checker Flag Trophy.” Heat races will start at 6:00 PM and will run continuous until completion. After a short track prep break to condition the top of the turns only, feature races will start approximately 8:00 to 8:30 PM.
FanFair Appreciation Night will permit fans to see the speed and force of the UFo Super Late Models for only $12. Tickets for juniors 10-16 will be half-price at $6, while children 9 and under will be admitted free. All pit tickets will be $29. Super Late Model car entry fee is $15.
Pit gates open at 2:30 with grandstand gates opening at 4:00. The drivers meeting is slated for 5:15 with racing starting at 6:00. Rain date for the event is Sunday, June 23.
