Tommy Bailey circles Kentucky dirt tracks
(JUNE 7TH, 2013) Berneil Mills Racing loaded the hauler and spent the month of July zig-zigging to Kentucky dirt tracks. Tommy Bailey piloted the #20 Mills Auto dirt modified machine to three top fives in five starts.
The team unloaded at 201 Speedway, a track that has given Berneil Mills Racing success already in 2013 with a trip to victory circle. They crossed the line in sixth and set sights West for Lake Cumberland Speedway. Bailey drove to a runner up finish.
The following week the team joined the American Modified Series tour as the series landed at the clay oval, Cedar Ridge Speedway, unfamiliar territory for the team. However, Tommy Bailey grabbed a solid top five finish against the national modified competition.
The following week the team returned to the 3/8 mile Ponderosa Speedway, a favorite of the team/driver. A podium finish was the result, running in the third position. The team quickly returned to the shop and prepared for the following night of racing at Richmond Raceway. The team finished the July tour with a sixth place finish.
