Ponderosa Speedway Weekend Warrior 30 for Sportsman , Plus All Divisions, Next Up on June 14
Junction City, KY-June 7, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz will return to action at the 3/8 mile D-Shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday June 14 as the Weekend Warrior 30 for D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman will be on tap, paying $800 to win, along with a full program for all other divisions.
The Weekend Warrior 30 was originally scheduled for May 17, but Mother Nature intervened that evening and was rescheduled for May 31, but inclement weather forced the postponement of the racing program that evening as well. Anyone who purchased general admission tickets or pit passes for the rained out May 17 race can use them on June 14 or anytime during the 2013 race season. However, you must have your general admission ticket or pit pass armband with you to be eligible for redemption, no exceptions.
The Friday June 14 racing event at Ponderosa Speedway will be the 3rd Annual Weekend Warrior 30, paying the D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman $800 to win in a 30 lap main event. Also in action at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday June 14 will be the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models in a $1,200 to win, 25 lap main event, along with the Smith Automotive FASTRAK Late Models racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap contest. Also on the racing program for Friday June 14 will be the Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap feature contest and Airport Road Salvage Yard Four Cylinders racing for $200 to win (four car minimum) in a 10 lap feature event. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and may be rented at the track during driver registration and pill draw, which closes at 7:00 p.m.
Activities for the Friday June 14 event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m, while the general admission area opens at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., while practice laps will begin at 7:20 p.m. Bob Allen Motor Mall time trials will begin at 7:45 p.m., with racing set for the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times listed are EDT. Ticket prices for the June 14 Weekend Warrior event in the general admission area will be $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, with children ages 5 and under free. A pit pass will be $30.
