CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has added a $2,500-to-win 50-lap race at Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, AL on July 6 to its 2013 Touring Division schedule and the final race in the Salute To America Speedweek, now a four-race series that runs from July 3 through July 6.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will make its first visit ever to Green Valley Speedway in July 6 for a race that will be the finale of the Salute To America Speedweek. The four-race series will begin with a $2,000-to-win 40-race at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL on July 3.
The series’ second stop will be its traditional July 4 stop at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL for a $2,500-to-win 50-lap race. The third stop of the Salute To America Speedweek will be a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on July 5 at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL. The four races will be Rounds 10, 11, 12, and 13 of the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season.
“We’re excited to have the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division at Green Valley Speedway on Saturday night, July 6, and being a part of the Salute To America Speedweek with Talladega Short Track, East Alabama Motor Speedway and Penton Raceway,” Green Valley Speedway General Manager Adam Stewart said. “This is going to be a good thing for Green Valley Speedway, its fans and competitors.”
After meeting with NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Founder and Director Mike Vaughn earlier in the week, Stewart said Green Valley Speedway is looking forward to building a long tern relationship with Crate Racin’ USA, the sanctioning body for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series.
“Along with the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division, Crate Racin’ USA has a lot of other things going on that Green Valley Speedway wants to be a part of,” Stewart said. “Mike Vaughn, Green Valley Speedway Owner Dennis Harker, and myself met earlier in the week, and we’ll be announcing some exciting new endeavors with Crate Racin’ USA in the coming days.”
