CARTERSVILLE, GA – There is a new point leader after Week 11 of NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Garage Weekly Racing Series competition. Derrick Mackmer of Purvis, MS is the new man on top of the standings after a 17th-place finish on Saturday night a Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS driving his Mackmer Home Buyers Special with one hand.

Mackmer went into NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Week 11 competition with a broken thumb and third in the point standings behind Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg, MS and Noah Daspit of Kiln, MS. The injury occurred in a Week 10 accident at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA when his thumb got caught in the steering wheel.

Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS was the first stop on Saturday night for Mackmer, but they rained out before the events started, so Mackmer loaded up and headed north to Magnolia Motor Speedway. Arnold did not compete in Week 11 NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series competition, and Daspit was at St. Tammany Raceway where they rained out.

Mackmer is at the top of the list with 439 points after four top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 14 starts. Arnold drops to the second spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 435 points after four wins, ten top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 13 races driving the Reynolds Motorsports/Billy Riels Racing GRT.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS used a 41-point 11th-place finish on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway to move up to the third spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings. Scarbrough has 432 points after one win, four top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 12 starts driving the Villa South Trak-Star.

Daspit dropped to the fourth spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 427 points after four wins and ten top five finishes in ten races driving the Billy Riels Racing Trak-Star.

Bobby Jordan of McCarley, MS drove the Henderson Waste and Recycling Trak-Star to a fifth-place finish on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS to move up to the fifth spot in the standings. Jordan has 380 points after four top five finishes and five top ten finishes in ten NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series starts.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS also got caught in the rain at St. Tammany Raceway, and did not earn any points in NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Week 11 competition. Lee is sixth in the standings with 379 points after one win, and 11 top five finishes in 12 starts driving the Billy Riels Racing GRT.

Mike Palasini of Leland, MS drove the MP Trucking Trak-Star to his second NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway and move up to the seventh spot in the standings. Palasini has 377 points after two wins, and six top five finishes in nine races.

Dana Eiland of Salem, AL finished second on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL and climbed into the Top 10 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings. Eiland is eighth with 358 points after seven top five finishes and eight top ten finishes in nine races driving the Andy’s Auto Parts Special.

T.J. Hays of Bradford, TN also makes his first appearance of the season in the Top 10 of NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings after driving the 45 Race Shop GRT to a fifth-place finish on Saturday night at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN. Hays is ninth in the standings with 350 points after three top five finishes, and six top ten finishes in eight starts.

Montana Dudley of Phenix City, AL posted his fifth NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway driving the Zaxby’s Rocket. Dudley moved up to the tenth spot in the standings with 348 points after five wins and seven top five finishes in seven races.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Week 11 action, Travis Ashley of Batesville, AR drove the Bad Boy Mowers GRT to his first win of the season on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR. Ricky Waggoner of Martin, TN was crowned the “King of the Clayhill” on Saturday night with his fifth win of the season on Saturday night at Clayhill Motorsports driving the Taylormade Performance Special.

Justin McRee of Cottondale, AL took his third win of the season on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in the High Roller Race Cars Special, and Kyle Bryant of Navarre, FL drove the Billy Hoover Racing Special to his first win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.

Adam Gauldin of Talladega, AL returned to the Winner’s Circle at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL with his first NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Saturday night driving the Adam Gauldin Racing GRT. Joey Smith of Pomona, MO took his second win of the season on Saturday night at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO driving the Plastic Tank Shop.com Special.

Along with Whynot Motorsports Park and St, Tammany Raceway, Hattiesburg Motorsports Park on Friday night and Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX on Saturday night were also rained out during Week 11 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series season.

Two-time the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge Champion Trak-Star Race Cars built by Boland Performance of Cuba, AL leads the 2013 standings after Palasini gave them their 19th win of the season.

Rocket Chassis of Shinnston, WV holds the second spot after Dudley gave them their tenth win of the season. Four-time and defending NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Chassis Champ GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier, AR is third with nine wins after Week 11 victories from Ashley and Gauldin.

Warrior Race Cars built by Goddard Performance of Knoxville, TN is in the fourth spot with three wins in the 2013 season. Stinger Race Cars built by J.T. Kerr Racing Equipment of Rockford, TN, TNT Race Cars of Piney Flats, TN, and CVR Race Cars of Lenoir City, TN are also participating in the 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge.
