CARTERSVILLE, GA – Trey Bright of Coker, AL has reclaimed the point lead for the third time this season in NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 11 action. Bright finished second on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS driving the AKA Cores Chevrolet, and now has 485 points after five wins, ten top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 12 starts.

Bright went into NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division action one point behind Kevin Spears of Fayette, AL, with who Bright has traded the point lead three times over the last four weeks of competition. Spears ran into some misfortune in Week 11 competition, and has dropped to third in the standings with 462 points.

Spears started out his Saturday night at Moulton Speedway in Moulton, AL, but had problems with his Bass Sports Online Chevrolet in hot laps. He was able to borrow another competitor’s car for the heat races and the main where he finished third. The car failed the post-race technical inspection due to a tire violation and was disqualified.

Even though the car Spears drove in the feature race failed to earn any points, Spears was still able to collect 25 show up points in his own car. Spears has four wins, nine top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 11 races.

Dave Nations of Raymond, MS moved up to the second spot in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 473 points based on one win, seven top five finishes, and ten top ten finishes in 11 starts. Nations finished sixth on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway driving the Street Stock Set Up Specialists Chevrolet.

Wayne Medders of Morton, MS is fourth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 399 points after three top five finishes, and eight top ten finishes in 12 starts driving the Medders Construction Chevrolet. Chad Hiers of Ocean Springs, MS is fifth with 379 points based on six top five finishes, and eight top ten finishes in ten starts driving the Hiers Construction Chevrolet.

Brandon Leftwich of Meridian, MS is sixth with 378 points after driving the American Portable Buildings Chevrolet to four top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in nine starts. Stacy Herron of Kiln, MS is seventh in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 348 points after one win, six top five finishes, and seven top ten finishes in nine starts driving the S&B Contracting Chevrolet.

Eddie Willis of Saucier, MS holds down the eighth spot in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 298 points based on one win, five top five finishes and eight top ten finishes in eight starts driving the Willis Racing Chevrolet. Jarrod Fremin of Montz, LA is ninth with 295 points after one win, four top five finishes and six top ten finishes in eight races driving the Fremin Racing Chevrolet.

Charles Coan of Danville, AL rounds out the Top 10 of the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 294 points. Coan has used five top ten finishes in seven starts driving the Coan Racing Chevrolet to make his first appearance of the season in the Top 10 of the standings.

Calvin Cook of Pace, FL drove the Foam Seal Insulation Chevrolet powered by a $3,195 Chevrolet Performance 602 Crate Engine to his second NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division win of the season on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway. Jacob Stephens of Athens, AL took his first win of the season on Saturday night at Moulton Speedway driving the Stephens Used Cars Chevrolet.

There were three NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 11 events washed out. The Friday night race at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS, as well as the Saturday night races at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS and St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA were all rained out.

A total of 167 different drivers have earned points in the first 11 weeks of NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division competition.
