Jeep Van Wormer Earns Top Tens in Dream Twin 25s; Prepares for Oakshade/I-96

(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) The Iron Motorsports team and driver Jeep Van Wormer rolled into the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 6-8 for the 19th Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' The expanded format at the "Big E" kicked off on Thursday and Friday with Twin 25s. On Thursday night, Jeep ran fourth in heat race action prior to moving up eight spots in the $2,500 to win feature en route to a solid sixth place effort. At the hallowed high-banks on Friday evening, Jeep also grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race before picking off eight more competitors during the $5,000 to win A-Main on his way to a seventh place performance.

Things ratcheted up big time on Saturday, as a whopping $100,000 top prize was on the line in the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' Jeep finished seventh in his stacked heat race and later retired from the B-Main in the twenty-second position. Unfortunately, the Pinconning, Michigan ace was unable to transfer his #55 Rocket into the 100-lap crown jewel extravaganza. Full results from the long weekend at Eldora Speedway can be viewed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Jeep and his #55 team are slated to enjoy the upcoming June 14-15 weekend away from the racetrack, but will be back hard at work next week preparing for two high-profile races on June 22-23. Up next will be the 24th Annual ‘Barney Oldfield Race’ on Saturday, June 22 at the Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio. The American Late Model Series (ALMS) will preside over the $4,900 to win special event. On Sunday, June 23, the I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan will welcome the UMP Summer Nationals tour and a $5,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs.
