Super Late Models $1,500 to win; Modifieds $800 to win at Ponderosa Speedway on June 21
Junction City, KY-June 16, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz will present another action packed evening of family fun at the 3/8 mile D-Shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday June 21 when the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models race for $1,500 to win and the Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds race for $800 to win, along with a full program for all other divisions.
The Friday June 21 racing event at Ponderosa Speedway will see the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models race for $1,500 to win and the Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds race for $800 to win. Also in action at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday June 21 will be the Smith Automotive FASTRAK Late Models racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap contest and the D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman racing for $300 to win in a 15 lap main event. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and may be rented at the track during driver registration and pill draw, which closes at 7:00 p.m. Of note, the Four Cylinder division has been dropped and will not be in competition the remainder of the season due to low car count. Also, the feature purse for the Bluegrass Drug Store Modified division that is listed in the payout section of this press release will be the payout for this division at regular shows for the remainder of the 2013 race season.
Activities for the Friday June 21 event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m, while the general admission area opens at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., while practice laps will begin at 7:20 p.m. Bob Allen Motor Mall time trials will begin at 7:45 p.m., with racing set for the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times listed are EDT. Ticket prices for the June 21 mini-special event in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, with children ages 5 and under free. A pit pass will be $30.
