Super Late Models $3,000 to win, Modifieds $800 to win at Lake Cumberland Speedway June 22
Burnside, KY-June 16, 2013- Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove and staff will again present a full racing program for all divisions at the 3/8 mile clay oval track known as “The House of Hardcore Mayhem” on Saturday evening June 22 that will feature Super Late Models racing for $3,000 to win and Modifieds racing for $800 to win, plus all other weekly divisions will be in competition.
The Saturday June 22 racing program will feature Super Late Models in competition in a 40 lap feature event that will pay $3,000 to the winner, along with the Modifieds racing for $800 to win in a 20 lap feature contest. All other divisions will also be in action on Saturday June 22 as Road Hogs will race for $300 to win in a 15 lap feature and Four Cylinders will race for $150 to win in a 10 lap feature. Purse money is guaranteed and there are no car minimums in any division.
Activities for the Saturday June 22 racing event will see the pit area and general admission areas at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., while practice laps will begin at 7:30 p.m. Time trials will take place beginning at 8:00 p.m., with racing taking the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times are EDT. Ticket prices for the Saturday June 22 event in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, while children ages 5 and under are admitted free. A pit pass will be $35. Also, anyone that was in attendance at the races on Saturday June 15 and brings their general admission area armband ticket will receive a $5 discount on their ticket for June 22.
Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
