Brandon Kinzer Prepares for TST on Heels of Disappointing End to Moonshine Runner 50

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team trekked to the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Saturday evening, June 15 for the 'Moonshine Runner 50.' The Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) presided over the one-day show, which boasted a $3,000 top prize. Brandon laid down the fastest lap in his group during the qualifying session, which was second quickest overall, and later took the win in his heat race.

After starting from the outside of the front row in the 50-lap main event, Brandon took the lead at the drop of the green flag and paced the field through the early portion of the race. He gave up the point to eventual winner Jackie Boggs, but stayed within shouting distance throughout the remainder of the event. Unfortunately, the Allen, Kentucky ace was involved in a tangle with only a handful of laps remaining, which cost him a podium finish and relegated him to a disappointing fourteenth place effort. Full results from 201 can be located online at www.201speedway.net.

Next up for Kinzer Motorsports will be a visit to the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on Saturday night, June 22. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) will sanction the 2nd Annual ‘B.J. Parker Memorial.’ The 42-lap main event will pay $4,200 to the winner. Additional information on the race this weekend at the “Hornets Nest” can be found by clicking on www.sasdirt.com.
