View Full Version : Hatfield/McCoy Feud moves to 201 Speedway July 6th with $5K on the Line

201 Speedway is in the middle of one of the most competitive season in the 30 year history of the track, with only one repeat winner in the 2013 season in the Late Model division and some of the largest car counts in the Late Model division, the track has seen in recent memory the first half of the 30th Anniversary season celebration has been a great success.

Looking ahead to the next special event at 201 Speedway, the Hatfield/McCoy Feud moves from Pike County KY to Sitka KY as $5,000 will be on the line July 6th with many of the region’s top drivers expected to make the trip to compete for the checkered flag, drivers like Eddie Carrier Jr, who has been competing with the Lucas Oil Series nationally, as well as regional stars like Josh McGuire, Jackie Boggs Dustin Linville, Victor Lee and Derek Fisher, and local favorites such as Paul Harris, Shannon Thronsberry, Brandon Kinzer and Chris Combs just to name a few.

The total payout for this event is set at almost $18,000 with a $5,000 to win check awaiting the winner, with a $500 check just to start the feature event; complete payout for this event is as follows:
1-) $5,000, 2-) $2,500, 3-) $1,000, 4-) $800, 5-) $700, 6-) $650, 7-) $580, 8-) $560, 9-) $540, 10-) $525, 11-) $500, 12-) $500, 13-) $500, 14-) $500, 15-) $500, 16-) $500, 17-) $500, 18)- $500, 19-)$500, 20-) $500

Admission for this event will be $20 for Grandstand, and $35 for the pits, with kids 10 and under free, Also for the Late Models drivers entering this event there will be a $100 entry fee charged. Every Late Model driver that does not transfer through the B-main will also receive $50 tow money for participating in this event.

Also competing on July 6th will be the Open Wheel Modified, Bomber, and 4-Cylinder division, Limited Late Models will not be competing, however the Limited Late Model drivers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to compete in the Hatfield/McCoy event 201 Speedway will be using their standard rules package for this event for any and all Late Models who compete in this event.

201 Speedway Late Model Rules are as follows:
Late Model Rules
Standard Lucas Oil and Woo Late Model Safety & Body Rules.
Tires Rules: Front open Rear Hoosier 1300 or Harder
American Racer 44 or Harder.
MUST PUNCH 40 Prior To Qualifying and Before Each Race
Weight Rule: 2300 lbs Aluminum Blocks, 2200 lbs Steel Blocks

This coming weekend will be the final tune up before the Hatfield/McCoy event with a regular show in all divisions and will feature Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modified, Bomber, Limited Late Model, and 4-Cylinder Stock

Southern Ohio Speedway and 201 Speedway will be working together over the July 6th weekend to add a $500 bonus to the Late Model Driver that has the best average finish between the two events, on July 5th Southern Ohio Speedway will be running the Southern 50 paying $6,000 to win for the Late Models so between the two nights a drivers has the chance to win $11,000 for both feature wins, plus a extra $500 for having the best average finish over the two nights of racing
