Bub McCool Wins WoO Race in New York; Firecracker Weekend Next

Vicksburg, MS (06/26/13) – Bub McCool enjoyed a big night on Tuesday by scoring his second-career, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model feature win with an $8,000 triumph at Canandaigua Motorsports Park (Canandaigua, New York) in his #57J McCool Logging/Southern Belle/Schaeffer Oil/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay D ickens Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Twenty-three Super Late Models entered the program at the big, 1/2 mile oval, and via preliminary action Bub earned the third starting spot for the 40 lap finale. For the first half of the race he ran in the third spot behind race leader, Clint Smith, and Rick Eckert. However, a lap 29 restart found McCool utilizing the high line to shoot past both front runners to claim the win. Once he got out front he cruised the final ten laps to claim his first WoO victory of the 2013 season, which came over Tim Fuller, Morgan Bagley, Rick Eckert, and Tim McCreadie. The victory was his third overall of the 2013 season.

"We've been working hard at it," said McCool, whose victory came two nights after he matched his season-best finish with a third-place run at Cornwall (Ont.) Motor Speedway. "I think we found a little something on the car that's working good and the last couple nights we've done a little more to it. I felt like we may have figured something out."

Bub is now tied for seventh in the latest WoO standings. For complete event results from the events and the latest standings please visit www.WoOLMS.com .
