Daniel Baggerly Slated for Weekend Off Following Blue Ridge 50
(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) Daniel Baggerly and his #16 team rolled into the nearby Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia on Saturday, June 22 for the annual running of the 'Blue Ridge 50.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the one-day program, which boasted a $10,000 top prize. Daniel timed in fourteenth quickest during the qualifying session and later placed fifth in heat race action. After starting the 50-lap feature event from the inside of the sixth row, Daniel unfortunately drew a lap fifteen caution with carburetor problems and retired from the race in the twentieth position. The B&B Motorsports team is slated to take the upcoming June 28-29 weekend off from racing action. While they may hit the track somewhere before mid-July, their next scheduled events are the first six races on the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series. From July 15-21, Daniel plans to tackle shows with the barnstorming tour at the Wythe (VA) Raceway, Volunteer (TN) Speedway, East Alabama Motor Speedway, Swainsboro (GA) Raceway, Screven (GA) Motor Speedway, and Rome (GA) Speedway.
