View Full Version : SKEFF DISTRIBUTING PRESENTS THE FIREMAN’s BALL TOPLESS SPORTMAN 40 AT MACON SPEEDWAY

(Macon, IL) Race fans will be treated to a special UMP event at Macon Speedway on Saturday, July 6 with the help of Skeff Distributing in Decatur for the Fireman’s Ball Sportsman Topless 40. This event will feature the Sportsman division racing with the top of their cars removed for the top prize of $800. Skeff Distributing will also be giving out awesome prizes during the entire night in appreciation of the fans!

Macon Speedway and Skeff Distributing will also be paying tribute to the hard working firemen this Saturday night. All firemen with I.D. will be admitted for half price on Saturday for the night’s festivities to honor them.

Taylorville businesses will also be in attendance for Taylorville Night.

Divisions racing Saturday are Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, UMP Street Stocks, UMP 4-cyl. Outlaw Hornets and Hornets.

So far this summer with 13 races left in the 2013 racing season, Nick Macklin of Argenta leads the UMP Sportsman points race followed by David Crawley, Jr. and Scott Landers tied for second, Mike Pickering and Tim Bedinger completing the top five. Danny Smith of Argenta is on top of the UMP Modifieds with Jeff Graham in second, Joe Strawkas in third and Guy Taylor in fourth. Gene Reed of Shelbyville finds himself sitting on top of the UMP Street Stock division leading Bobby Beiler at this point in the season. Jeremy Reed of Decatur leads the UMP 4-cyl. Stock Hornet division and Thad Gee of Bloomington is six points ahead of Austin Harbin of Argenta in the Stock Hornets going into Saturday night’s feature events.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m. for July 6.

Also don’t miss the Herald & Review 100 UMP Summer Nationals and The Summit UMP Modified Series on Thursday, July 11. There will be a 100-lap feature for the Late Models with $5,000 to win, and the UMP Modifieds will also take to the track that evening for $1,000 to win and a very exciting night for dirt track fans. NASCAR star and Macon Speedway co-owner Kenny Wallace will be racing that night in the Modified division.
