Riggs Motorsports Going Strong on UMP Summer Nationals Trail; Invades Quincy Tonight!

(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) The Riggs Motorsports team was out on the UMP Summer Nationals trail in full force last week, as both Randy Korte and Jason Riggs traveled with the barnstorming tour from June 26-30 in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois. With one rain-out on Saturday at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, both drivers officially got four races into the record books. Randy transferred into all four main events and Jason advanced into a pair of features, while guest driver Kevin Cole put a Riggs Motorsports ride into the A-Main on Friday at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky.

Randy, who hails out of Highland, Illinois, claimed a pair of top tens last week, as he finished sixth on Wednesday at the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee and ninth the following day at the Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee. In Jason’s two feature appearances, he wound up twenty-first on Thursday at Clayhill (after winning his heat race) and twentieth on Friday at Paducah. Kevin Cole entered a third Riggs Motorsports car at PIR and advanced into the $10,000 to win ‘Chris Smith Memorial’ through the B-Main prior to finishing eighteenth in the final rundown of the 40-lapper.
