Brandon Kinzer Posts Pair of Podium Finishes in Georgia & Alabama; 201 Next!

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team ventured to the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia and the Fort Payne Motor Speedway in Fyffe, Alabama on June 28-29 for a pair of $3,000 to win showdowns. On Friday night at Boyd's, the Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) presided over a one-day show that was affected immensely by a heavy afternoon rain shower. Brandon posted the fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session, which locked him into the pole position for the night's 40-lap feature event. The Allen, Kentucky ace then ran amongst the leaders throughout the distance before claiming a third place performance behind only winner Josh Putnam and runner-up Jake Knowles.

At Fort Payne on Saturday evening, the 6th Annual 'Fire Cracker 50' was held and another $3,000 top prize was on the line in the unsanctioned event. Brandon qualified third quickest overall during time trials and later started from the inside of the second row in the 50-lapper. With passing at a premium during the caution-plagued race, BK wound up third in the final rundown behind only victor Jason Hiett and runner-up Aaron Ridley. Full results from both venues can be found online at www.dirtondirt.com.

The Kinzer Motorsports team will not have to travel far this upcoming weekend, as they plan to tackle the unsanctioned ‘Hatfield & McCoy Feuding 50’ at the nearby 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Saturday, July 6. A $5,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs on Saturday in a 50-lap feature event. Brandon has enjoyed several strong runs at the 30-year-old eastern Kentucky facility this year and will be looking to finish up front again this weekend.
