Has anyone ever ran a stiffer spring on rr instead of lr? And has anyone ever tried a 16 in spring on rr instead of a 13 in and what will it do to a 4 bar car

Ive always ran a stiffer RR spring, spring length doesnt really matter a 200lb spring is a 200 regardless. the longer spring is usually used on the LR where there is alot of travel, or where u may be running a really soft spring. For instance if u run a 150-175 13" LR spring, the amount of turns required to get you ride height and wedge may compress the spring so much that it may coil bind. the longer 16" will not be compressed as far and shouldnt coil bind.

a stiffer RR will tighten entry off throttle and can loosen on throttle.

The guy that I bought my car from ran 225# 16" LR spring and a 300# 13" RR spring and won 3 features with it setup that way. I just went to a softer LR spring 200# from a 225# and run a 225# on the RR. Haven't felt the need nore do I have a good 13" 300# spring to try that setup yet. He said he felt the car was rolling over to much on the RR is why he went that stiff. They can plant the RR tire better but you will have to make other changes since it will affect other things.
