Ponderosa Speedway Off July 19; Racing Resumes with Full Program of Action on July 26

Junction City, KY-July 14, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and track co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz will have the 3/8 mile D-shaped clay oval known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” idle this week as there will be no racing on Friday July 19, but the clay-slinging action returns on Friday July 26 with a full program of racing competition for all divisions.

Ponderosa Speedway will present a full racing program of competition on Friday July 26 that will feature the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models racing for $1,200 to win in a 25 lap main event and Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds racing for $800 to win in a 20 lap main event. Also on the racing schedule for Friday July 26 will be the Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap feature contest and the D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman racing for $300 to win in a 15 lap feature event. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and may be rented at the track during driver registration and pill draw, which closes at 7:00 p.m.

Activities for the Friday July 26 event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m, while the general admission area opens at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., while practice laps will begin at 7:20 p.m. Bob Allen Motor Mall time trials will begin at 7:45 p.m., with racing set for the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times listed are EDT. Ticket prices for the Friday July 26 racing program in the general admission area will be $12 for adults, children ages 6 to 12 will be $5, children ages 5 and under will be free, and a pit pass will be $30.

-Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models (25 laps): 1st- $1,200, 2nd- $600, 3rd- $500, 4th- $400, 5th- $350, 6th- $300, 7th- $250, 8th- $200, 9th- $175, 10th- $150, 11th- $125, 12th through 18th- $100 to start.
-Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds (20 laps): 1st- $800, 2nd- $400, 3rd- $300, 4th- 250, 5th- $200, 6th- $175, 7th- $150, 8th- $125, 9th- $115, 10th- $105, 11th through 18th- $100 to start.
-Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models (20 laps): 1st- $600, 2nd- $350, 3rd- $300, 4th- 250, 5th- $200, 6th- $175, 7th- $150, 8th- $125, 9th- $100, 10th- $85, 11th through 18th- $75 to start.
-D&D Pallet Sportsman (15 laps): 1st- $300, 2nd- $200, 3rd- $150, 4th- $125, 5th- $100, 6th- $90, 7th- $80, 8th- $70, 9th- $60, 10th- $55, 11th through 18th- $50 to start.

Ponderosa Speedway last raced on July 12 and feature event winners that evening included Chris Combs of Isom, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Jimmy Payne of Glasgow, KY in Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds, Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY in Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models, and Donnie Sullivan of Stanford, KY in D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman.

Current track championship point leaders heading into the Friday July 26 event include Victor Lee of Danville, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Benji Lee of Loretto, KY in Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds, Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY in Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models, and Donnie Sullivan of Stanford, KY in D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman.

Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY.
