Eriez Speedway Set to Host Final Leg of FASTRAK Northeast “Summer Sizzler Triple Crown” July 28th

(Carnesville, Georgia) – The final stop of the Inaugural “Summer Sizzler Triple Crown” for the FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division will take place on Sunday afternoon July 28th at the 3/8th mile Eriez Speedway. This will be the 2nd touring visit by the FASTRAK series at the track nestled between Erie and Hammet, Pennsylvania. The last race was on June 23rd and was won by Max Blair in a wild conclusion to the “Roar by the Shore” event. The final leg on this prestigious 3 race mini-series in the Northeast for the FASTRAK competitors at Eriez Speedway will pay $2,000 to the winner.
“We certainly can’t wait for the FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Tour to come back to town at Eriez Speedway. The weekly level started out with 14 crates and has increased now to 18-20 cars on a weekly basis. I really am looking forward to the “Triple Crown” finale here at Eriez. I’m hoping for great weather on Sunday July 28th. We have had a lot of races under our belt, but when there is a small threat of precipitation it scares the cars and fans away. I am very pleased with what FASTRAK Touring shows provide. They are the most professional in the Northeast, that’s why I remained with FASTRAK. This will in closing be a good chance for drivers to get used to the 3/8th mile surface for the National $5K race in September.” exclaimed Bob Rohrer of Eriez Speedway.
Eriez Speedway was built back in the early 1960’s, and has seen many changes over the years to the good. Bob and Kathy Rohrer bought Eriez Speedway in the early spring of 2006. Bob Rohrer also has raced for over 20 years, and doing so understands the driver’s needs, and with this in mind, has tried to make everything driver friendly thus keeping the FASTRAK sanctioning banner on Sunday afternoons for (crate) Pro Late Models in 2013. The races for FASTRAK on the weekly program have also been very successful. The 2013 point’s championship title for FASTRAK Crates at Eriez Speedway is probably one of the fiercest one’s in recent history. This season four drivers are all in the hunt within striking distance and it fluctuates with who’s on top week after week.
The FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division is excited to be closing out the “Summer Sizzler Triple Crown” at such a great racing venue like Eriez Speedway. This will also be the final tour visit before the BIG FASTRAK National event on September 6th and 7th that will pay $5,000 to the winner and close out the season at the 3/8th mile Eriez facility.
